Ch\u00e8re lectrice, cher lecteur,<\/p>\n

La cadence des innovations m\u00e9dicales n\u2019a jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 aussi \u00e9lev\u00e9e\u2026 tous les jours, ou presque, nous assistons \u00e0 l\u2019av\u00e8nement de nouveaux appareils, syst\u00e8mes et autres applications. Certes, il y va de la technique proprement dite, mais aussi \u2013 et surtout \u2013 des personnes qui l\u2019utilisent. Les Technologues en dispositifs m\u00e9dicaux sont bien plus que des \u00ab\u00a0technicien(ne)s\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0; ils \/ elles sont l\u2019interface entre les innovations high-tech d\u2019une part, et les patients \u2013 dont la vie et la sant\u00e9 en d\u00e9pendent – d\u2019autre part.<\/p>\n

Or, l\u2019exercice de ce m\u00e9tier n\u00e9cessite plus que de simples connaissances techniques. Il requiert \u00e9galement une bonne dose de psychologie, afin de comprendre la mani\u00e8re dont nous apprenons, dont nous g\u00e9rons le stress et dont nous sommes capables, m\u00eame dans les situations difficiles, de prendre des d\u00e9cisions judicieuses.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Bien apprendre\u00a0\u00bb \u2013 que ce soit durant la formation, ou dans le travail quotidien \u2013 implique de savoir m\u00e9moriser les connaissances de telle mani\u00e8re que celles-ci puissent \u00eatre r\u00e9activ\u00e9es m\u00eame dans des situations tumultueuses. Ainsi, dans notre cas, nous devons non seulement conna\u00eetre parfaitement les proc\u00e9dures techniques, mais aussi \u00eatre en mesure de les appliquer de mani\u00e8re s\u00fbre sous pression de temps. Ou encore, \u00e9viter les erreurs, ou en tirer les enseignements, afin de ne pas les commettre une deuxi\u00e8me fois.<\/p>\n

De plus \u2013 et c\u2019est un fait av\u00e9r\u00e9 en psychologie \u2013 lorsqu\u2019une personne sait pourquoi<\/em> elle fait quelque chose, elle est davantage motiv\u00e9e \u00e0 apprendre et travaille de mani\u00e8re plus concentr\u00e9e. Et c\u2019est pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment ce qui est essentiel dans notre m\u00e9tier\u00a0; car, au final, il s\u2019agit de prot\u00e9ger des vies et de permettre la gu\u00e9rison.<\/p>\n

Il nous semblait donc logique de publier un entretien avec une \u00e9tudiante en psychologie, qui \u00e9voquera divers aspects tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressants, notamment relatifs au processus d\u2019apprentissage.<\/p>\n

Nous esp\u00e9rons que la pr\u00e9sente \u00e9dition automnale vous inspirera et vous incitera \u00e0 appliquer concr\u00e8tement certaines id\u00e9es nouvelles dans votre travail quotidien, toujours dans le respect du principe sacro-saint selon lequel un retraitement de qualit\u00e9 est le fondement m\u00eame d\u2019une m\u00e9decine s\u00fbre.<\/p>\n
